Lone Wolf Climbing the Mountain

The lonely path was filled with the intense fragrance of Saptaparni flowers from the Blackboard tree. It travelled through my nostrils and enclosed my brain like ants devouring a sugar crystal. In the elation of that intense feeling, I saw her vividly for the first time.

She was regal, like a goddess. She had a shine of persuasion in her eyes and taste of sweetness in her lips. The rhythm of water trickling down her damp hair echoed in my ears sharply.

Was she trying to entice me or was I surrendering myself in front of her majesty?

I watched her walking past me giving a tempting smile. And I followed her like a kite which broke its string. We passed earth, oceans, heaven and all the seven worlds. Moreover, she took me to an unknown side of the universe. However, the closer I tried to reach her, the further she drifted away from me.

When we reached an unknown area, where no eagles or migratory birds could fly and reach, a billow of big clouds appeared like a mountain of wool. In the blink of an eye, she ran and disappeared in the clouds while the sun shut his eyes firmly at the same moment.

To tell the truth, I was thrown into absolute darkness without a ray of light coming through from anywhere.  There was nothing much I could do other than running towards the clouds where she disappeared. That was the only possibility to reach her. I vaguely remember what happened next. I remember crashing into something massive and falling into a bottomless pit.

Later, when sun rays hit, I was  no longer  in the same body. A different shape and conscience. I  transformed into an enormous beast. A white wolf. Whose only instinct is to hunt and adapt to the wilderness.

In the bone-chilling cold, I stared at the endless snow capped mountains. They stood with pride and power. I set off straight towards them. To conquer them.

The only intention was to touch those clouds once again.
